On Sunday we hosted an enthusiastic group of people at ArtsCape, eager to learn all about the fancy-pants buttons on their fancy-pants DSLRs. We chatted over tea, coffee, lunch and cake, talking about the basics of composition, ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Our intention was to take some of the mystery out of using Manual mode on your camera and basically to have a play around with the settings it has in a fun and relaxed environment. The workshop is open to all levels of abilities and your DSLR doesn't really have to be terribly fancy!
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along on the day and to those who expressed interest in the workshop itself but weren't able to make it along this time. We have had so much interest that we'll definitely be running another one later this year. If your community/group would like us to bring the workshop to where ever you are, let us know - we're keen if you are!
