Last Sunday was our very first weekend Crafternoon, held at Harvest & Cater, Boat Harbour (thanks for looking after us!)
We chatted over bubbles and crafty projects as the rain poured (and poured, and poured) down outside. A Crafternoon's a good idea at any time really, but on a rainy Sunday afternoon? Well, there's nothing much better!
A huge, huge thanks to Helen, Karen, Em and Angie who all braved the weather to come along - it was awesome catching up with all of you ladies! It was wonderful seeing all the different projects people were working on like embroidery, crochet, beadwork, rock sculpture and knitting (that was me and my five year scarf - no exaggeration on the five years bit, btw.)
At this stage it's looking like we'll stick to the weekend format - it seems to work a bit easier for most people. If you couldn't make it along to this one, we hope to see you next time! Keep an eye on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for details. Let us know if you have any suggestions for venues using the link below, or the comment section.
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Yesterday the lovely people at Jo & Co Cafe hosted us for the very first Seedsmiths Crafternoon. A huge thank you to them for making us feel so welcome and a huge thank you to the people who came along with their portable crafty or arty project! It was great to meet new people and catch up with old friends as well!
We have plans for another Crafternoon next month - keep yourself in the loop by coming back here, or checking out our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for more details.
Crafternoons are open to anyone who is able to come along on the day - it doesn't matter your age or gender (although children need to be accompanied by an adult!) If you can't make it to a weekday Crafternoon, please let us know. If there is enough interest we may be able to organise a weekend time. Get in touch here: email@example.com or leave a comment here, or on our Facebook, Instagram or Twitter! (Links above.)

Calling all crafty-type people ... bring your current project (small and portable is best!) along to a Crafternoon session with Seedsmiths Tasmania, starting June 2016. Come along to the designated venue with your embroidery, crochet, knitting, sketching (or whatever!) and spend some time chatting and making, over coffee or tea (or a glass of wine if you like.) Bring some friends and maybe make some new ones!
If possible, please use the event page on Facebook to register your interest before the Crafternoon session, or send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org - this enables us to book a table at the venue and ensures that there's enough room for everyone. For updates and reminders, keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The first Crafternoon with Seedsmiths Tasmania will be held at Jo & Co Cafe, 74 Main Rd, Penguin on Friday 17th June at 2:00pm. There is no cost to participate, other than what you want to eat and drink.
Hope to see some of you there!
