On Saturday, Ed Jones hosted an incredibly informative workshop on Lightroom basics. He took us through his workflow process bit-by-bit; giving plenty of hints and tips along the way.
I know that I came away from the workshop full of ideas and wanting to experiment even more with Lightroom - seeing what exactly it can do was a real eye-opener. It was a great learning experience and really showcased the advantages of using this program - I don't use Photoshop terribly much these days and can see myself using it less and less as I get to know Lightroom more and more.
If you're keen to explore Lightroom with Ed, get in touch with us - we'd love to be able to offer another workshop later in the year.
Also, this coming Wednesday (20th May) Ed begins his six-week DSLR photography basics course with us, for which there are still a couple of spots available - it's not too late to sign up! Head on over here and click "ADD TO CART" to secure your place in the course. The total course cost breaks down to around $45 per session - a very reasonable investment towards learning to effectively use your DSLR, especially when you consider the initial cost of the camera itself!
Finally, a very big thank you to Ed for teaching us all about Lightroom - you might like to check out his website (linked above), Instagram and FB page.
LITTLE | SEED | GROW
This time we're meeting early in June and we'll be having a chat about Richard Flanagan's The Narrow Road to the Deep North. It won the Man Booker Prize in 2014 and has generally been raved about ever since. If you're inclined, you can read a sample here.
You can register your interest here - just click "Add to Cart." There is no cost to join in (this is really just so we have an idea of numbers), you will need to source your own copy of the novel, however. We'll then send you an email with the venue address and any further information you might need.
Remember you don't need to have come along previously - you can drop in and out as it suits. All are welcome! Hope to see you there!
