To help launch Seedsmiths we’re hosting an Instameet at Table Cape Lighthouse on Saturday 28th February. Bring your smart phones and meet at the lighthouse car park at 2.30pm.
Tours will be available with gold coin admission (a huge thank you to Table Cape Lighthouse Tours for making that offer available - we are incredibly grateful) for those who want to Instagram the lighthouse interior. While you wait for your tour, take advantage of the beautiful surrounds – there is a short walk from the lighthouse to the lookout, giving plenty of photo opportunities along the way and of course, a different perspective of the lighthouse and Wynyard.
Please note that if you are participating in a tour of the lighthouse you will need to wear appropriate footwear – no thongs and no high heels! There are picnic tables within the grounds but unfortunately no toilet facilities so please keep that in mind when you are visiting on the day.
While still being in summer (technically!) on the day – as we are all only too aware, Tasmanian summers can be inconsistent (we don’t get the “four seasons in one day” moniker for nothing!) Please be prepared for all kinds of weather – the lighthouse tours will be run subject to weather conditions, but the rest of the Instameet will go ahead as planned (unless there are severe weather warnings in which case it will be postponed.)
For more details please email firstname.lastname@example.org and for updates on the day follow @seedsmithstasmania on Instagram. You can also RSVP here - and feel free to spread the message on Facebook, Instagram and where ever else you like!
What is an Instameet?
Instameets are informal gatherings where participants arrange to meet at a particular location to take iPhone/smart phone photographs. The experience is then shared on Instagram, usually through the use of hashtags. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and to bring to the real world some of those connections already made on Instagram. One of the other bonuses of an Instameet is the chance to learn and share photography skills and explore the local environment.
